One of the finest interiors in London is the magnificent Court Room of the Bank of England. It is used by the Governor and the Directors of the Bank for regular meetings numbering between eight and 24 people.
Arthur Brett were approached by the Bank towards the end of 1991 to create a conference table capable of taking up to six configurations to accommodate the Bank’s specific seating requirements Each of these arrangements had to be presented as a complete table, perfectly in keeping with the quality of the room.
The turned and reeded legs and the design of the apron of the table reflect the columns in the Court Room. The impressive table is veneered in the finest mahogany with a narrow banding of rosewood to each edge.
Hand polished throughout, it encapsulates the quality of service in design and manufacture that is the very essence of Arthur Brett.
